Privacy notice

HammerDuck is not open for business yet. This page exists to explain what we are building and to let contractors and homeowners register interest. This notice covers only what happens on this page. When the full marketplace launches it will carry its own, longer privacy policy covering projects, bids and messages, and you will be asked to review it before you create an account.

What we collect

Only what you type into one of the two forms, and nothing else.

• Contractors: your name, business name, trade, county, email address and phone number.
• Homeowners: your email address, and your county if you choose to give it.

We do not ask for payment details anywhere on this page, and no payment is taken. There is no account to create and no password to set.

Why we collect it

To contact you about HammerDuck opening, and nothing else. For contractors, we also use your trade and county to see whether a founding contractor spot is still open in your trade, since those are limited.

What we will not do with it

• We will not sell your information, or share it with anyone for their own marketing.
• We will not add you to unrelated mailing lists.
• We will not contact you about anything other than HammerDuck.

Who can see it

Form submissions are stored by Netlify, the service that hosts this website, and are readable by HammerDuck. Netlify processes the data on our behalf as our hosting provider.

Analytics and cookies

We use Google Analytics 4 to measure basic traffic to this page — how many people visited, which pages they looked at, roughly which part of the country they came from, and whether they filled in one of the forms. We use it only to judge whether anyone is finding us, and it is reported to us in aggregate.

Google Analytics sets a cookie in your browser so that repeat visits can be told apart from new ones. It uses your IP address to work out an approximate location; Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. When you submit one of the forms we record that a submission happened, along with the trade and county you selected. We never send your name, email address or phone number to Google.

We do not run advertising, and the advertising and personalization features of Google Analytics are switched off. If you are visiting from the UK, the EEA or Switzerland, no analytics cookie is set at all — your visit is counted without one.

You can opt out at any time by installing Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, or by blocking cookies in your browser. Nothing on this page stops working if you do.

Getting your information removed

Email customerservice@hammerduck.com and ask us to delete it. We will remove it and confirm when it is done. You do not need to give a reason, and it will not affect your ability to sign up later.

Children

This page is meant for adults arranging or performing home improvement work. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.
